The one thing I definitely did not take into account when building my loft was the amount of feathers when molting! Iv tried blowing them out with a cordless blower which I thought was a great idea and turned out to be an awful idea. I’v also tried scooping out most when I scrape but holy cow. And of course I have 1/4 hardware on all openings so they can’t naturally blow out

I went out the other day and it looked like a hawk had gotten in and caused a massacre. Nope, just molt!

Of course the loft is at one of the farthest points of my property but gunna have to get 3 or 4 100ft Cords and get it done!

Nice family photo today. Don’t worry, the citronella is too high for them to reach and they avoid it like the plague after tasting it once.

Wanted to share this here today. at half mast.

In prior years when I had pigeons, I did this with my grandchildren. I explained to them the reason for the Half Mast, and the White Dove Release.
