I wonder if I could get close enough too see if there is a phone number on the band, though? Better than leaving her.

And I'm not sure how I would trap her because I don't have a trap and she just stands around on the roof.

I'm imagining this conversation:
"Hey um... why is there a new pigeon in the coop?"
"Oh uh, there is? Oh wow! Must have um, snuck in or something!"
"Mmmmhmmm.... snuck in..."
"Hehe.... guess we get to keep it now?"

I think it's more likely a second hen laid in that nest and she may not try to sit.
Time wise, when did the third egg appear re the first two?

I might suspect a hen with a nearby nest. I had one lay in her next-door neighbor nest box. I'm not sure if she realized her error.lol

This is a more private box, plus the established pair has used it a few times, which is why I suspected the same hen. But I have seen another hen in the box below. So i guess I’ll just have to be more observant
I noticed the first egg Friday morning. I don’t think there was another egg on Saturday, but I’m not positive. Saw the three eggs this morning. So either way is possible.

Take a video if you can, and try to get different angles, then you can watch the video frame by frame, or slowed. Maybe catch a glimpse of the number.

Eeesh.... I would, but keeping Bird is already a bit much for my family, and Kiwi and Peach are gearing up for batch two. I really wish I could help her, but I'm not sure if it would go over well if I just popped on home like "Hey look, I got a NEW pigeon!" it would probably be "Nope, nah ah, no more, put it back its fine." Im the one pigeon nerd around here.

Trap her and put her on Craigslist.

Just Google "how to trap a pigeon", she will come down from the roof for food and water.
Edit added. I had one of my pigeons trap himself in a trap I was planning to bait for predators. It didn't even have any food in it at the time! Lol

Its kind of a sticky situation because I don't think I'd be allowed to try to trap her. Taking Bird home wasn't widely approved either and it's only been a week since. I would just be told "It's fine, there's other pigeons just leave it alone you have too many already."

I know her owner used to have a special whistle he used to call his birds back and it was amazing to see the giant flock just circling down to the yard.

That was the dinner call. They would go thru the trap and into loft to get food. There is no more loft, so the whistle would convey what message>??

Since your family is not keen on you getting any other pet pigeons at this time, consider that this pigeon has gone semi feral. I seen pigeons with bands among feral flocks. They are escapees, or lost pigeons that managed to survive in the wild environment quite well. The white pigeon is most-likely a homing breed. (that is what I had) .

Since you are a kind person, (I know you also rescued unwanted chickens) you may consider tossing a small quantity of seeds somewhere in sight of pigeon. If you do this , and keep the location of dropped seeds, progress closer to your loft, pigeon may decide to live in your backyard. It would be easy for pigeon to go thru your trap on your loft then.
Then simply say, (to your family) LOOK, WHAT ARRIVED IN LOFT
