Its been a while since I've updated so here's an update on my birds.

26/5/18
2 fantail x homing pigeon squabs hatched last night.

I've also had two other batches of squabs hatch. They are all A2B2's.

They are both from different pairs.

When I moved the homing pigeons out around a month ago, I lost 2 out of 4. The two I lost were the blue bars. I still have the blue checkered cock and the 'latte' looking pigeon.

18/7/18 Pigeon Update #5
It’s been two months since I’ve done an update on BYC. Clearly I’m very lazy, but getting back to the pigeons. The birds are going well and are happy.

I haven’t been keeping a good record of hatch dates recently which is a pain, but I know the parents at least. The most recent birds that hatched were I think a week ago from my original pair of pigeons (Hen is a recessive red king and the Cock is some white fancy breed). The squabs are healthy and looking good, I’m really hoping they get fed evenly, as this year that pair lost most of there bubs.

Speaking of loses, this has been one and hopefully my last year of a high death rate. I think the main problem was that the birds weren’t able to get water and so when they fed the squabs the crop milk got stuck in there throat leading to death. I’ve got to make sure I fill up the water every second day.

Anyways focusing on my main breeding pairs at the moment with young or sitting. My pairs with recent squeakers, squabs or eggs are:
This will be completed later when I find the bloodline letters

The rest of this post will also be completed later...
