Hello, I was just wondering if I could keep a mated pair of pigeons in a bird cage like this?

you could, as in they would physically fit in there. but no, in my opinion that is not enough space for a pair to live in.

Thanks, I won't. I don't want them to be uber cramped.

No way!

Too small. Keep the cage though, as you could use it as a hospital cage, if any of you birds got ill, or if you had to hand raise some squabs.

I was considering buying it but won't now... Can I see ya'll cages and how many birds are in them?

why do you want to keep them in cages?

Its better to keep them all in one big coop, with nest boxes on the walls and some perches.

Then you only need to have one feeder and one water container to change each day.

If they are in cages, you have to feed and water each one, let them out for exorcise, and also clean the cage bottom each day. That will take up a lot of time.

Also the pigeons will be happier, fitter and healthier if they have as much room as possible to fly about and get exorcise.

Glad you didn't get it! That would be like putting yourself in a barred closet!

I have a 6' tall 4' wide 10' long aviary connected to the back of the loft. They freefly a lot too.

Wow, your look bigger than the ones I've seen!
