Pigeons in general

Ok I have 1 german owl and I want to get him a couple friends does it matter if they are the same type or not, he just needs a couple pigeon friends as he lives with the chickens right now going to a swap this wknd.

any breed will do... but if you intend to breed them in the future, might pay to stick with the same..

not intending to breed them, so I will see what they have. DOn't tell the chickens but I think I like the pigeon better.
