I have 6 pairs of pigeons in loft and had them for 1 year and they haven't laid any eggs I see them mate and I'm sure they are 6 males and 6 females as they laid last year once all but not this year they're only not 2 years old yet except for one male help!

if there not getting the right feed or enough feed they may not lay or they are being messed with do you have chickens in with your pigeons might have a egg eater do they have enough nests for privacy chickens and pigeons do not mix

im feeding them pigeon grain and and a handful of frozen corn and I measured the food by feeding them and see what's left so they get enough and I feed them 2 times a day and no I moved them from the chicken coop 7 months ago

I feed my mated pairs mainly Chicken Layer pellets and whole corn. Try introducing them to Layer pellets works great for me.

feeding extra corn maybe getting hens to fat then they wont lay and cocks are lazy stop feeding frozen corn

That's really not normal at all!

Are you sure the eggs are not getting eaten by a predator like a rat?

Do you pigeons have nest boxes and nesting material?

Have you seen them making nests and sitting in the nests?

After mating they will lay the eggs a couple days later.

Are you giving them a calcium thing, like crushed oyster shell or pigeon grit? If not the eggs might be getting broken with weak shells and then eaten.

Do you let them free fly, does the coop have windows and light?

they have nest boxes and I put nesting material like hay or straw

No I didn't see them nest and their boxes don't have any material in it

They mated a couple days ago but nothing yet

Yes I give them calcium tablet from the vet for birds

They I let them free but some days I dont

The coop has 3 windows and when the sun moves it always shine in the coop and if not I use a light bulb

And I don't think a rat came in because I put some rat poison and the vet told me it may not harm my pigeons, it's been 6 moths and I haven't seen a rat and I still use the poison

I have never heard of people giving calcium tablets to their pigeons. Why did the vet tell you to do that? Were they sick?

Just give them crushed oyster shell, pigeon grit, and smashed up egg shells / cuttlefish bones.

I am sure that any poison for rats WILL also be poison for pigeons. You have this poison in the coop? Maybe hey are eating it?

I would take that away.

They are not acting normal. Are you sure they are healthy? Are they a good weight, and the poops normal looking?

Even if they are not laying eggs, the male pigeons will be taking over the nest boxes and cooing and dancing.. trying to get the females in there.

Sorry be I don't know what else to advise you... I hope someone else comes on here with some ideas for you.

I am at a loss. Sounds like you are doing everything right. I am grasping at straws here. One thing that I heard tell of if pigeons are crossed with ring neck doves the off spring become mules and are unable to reproduce. That being said I believe the females still lay eggs but they do not hatch. (Doubt if that is your problem).

so you had two eggs from each pair last year? if you see mateing and no eggs you have all males not unless something is eating eggs do you have chickens with them you have to provide a little more info did you buy these birds and was told they laid last year just so many questions that need to be answered
