Pigeons not mating

good day everyone
As the the title says not mating
I have a white homer male with no female and I decide to get him a female so about a week ago I got him a female. I immediately put her in his cage and in less than two minutes I saw them mating but ever since they did not mate again. They are going along really he will be preening her and even feeding her but they never mate and it’s been like a week now. Is this normal
Any sort of help would be appreciated and thank you

If you are waiting for eggs, give it a couple more days. They will mate up to a week before eggs. Just be patient.
