pink egg layers

One of my BA's lays a very pink egg whereas my other BA lays a dark brown.

(6chickens in St. Charles--my pink egg layer is the naughtiest of all of my girls! If she isnt happy everyone in the neighborhood knows about it!)

I have an EE roo hatched from a pink egg. I bought 6 pink eggs from houndit last year. Try him?

the Blue orp eggs I got from a BYCer here are dark pinkish tannish, it was suprizing to see eggs that pinky shade.
Maybe the pink EEs are BO crosses?

I'm surprised noone mentioned Salmon Faverolles or Brahmas - Both typically lay a pink egg. My favorite Brahma girl, Cheesecake, lays a nice pink one with purple stipples and spots on it every day.

My silkie laid a pale pinkish egg. It just had the slightest blush of pink on it. She has a new home, and is probably setting on eggs now, the broody little monster.

Some of my BO's lay a sort of pinkish tinted egg.

I don't believe in pink eggs, not really.

What people call a pink egg is a brown egg with a sort of chalky layer on the outside of the egg that makes it look pinkish, but it really is just a brown egg.

I have never, ever, seen a truly pink egg.

If anyone really has, I would love to see a picture of it--I would like to be proven wrong, really, because I would like some, too--but at this point I don't believe in them.
