Pinkeye...new tooth...trip next week...summertime craziness!

11 hours, 41 min - according to Mapquest.

New Orleans was 14 hours, but had the added bonus of traveling through TN, so I could've picked up an OW sidekick to ride shotgun.

Will hatching eggs be on your gift registry?

hahahahaha

Why, um, yes... they will.

Michelle, I think it sounds like you are shaping up to have a much more relaxing summer than I.

The screaming hoodlums are currently crashed in the family room eating fresh baked cookies and watching movies. I debated lacing the cookies with Benadryl but then I thought their parents might get suspicious.

They wouldn't get suspicious, they would ask for your recipe.

Don't punch a gift horse in the mouth or something like that. Maybe it was Don't stab a gift horse in the eyeball.

When we were halibut fishing my daughter was touching the fish eyeballs, it made me think of Nells.

My kids have gotten in the habit of chasing each other around with eyeball juice on the tips of their fingers.

I am SO GLAD I don't teach elementary school. Or middle school. Or high school.

Hey, you can't just sit here and sip coffee, you have to share some sort of awful eye trauma or summer scheduling snafu.

Oh wait, summer is like a week long where you live, isn't it?

The sun never sets here, the summer is one really looooooooong day!

Actually, My summer is fixing up to be super-bliss-ful

My kids flew out yesterday for their dad's. The middle one (my drama-queen) is moving to her dad's but the other two will be back in August in time for school to start.

So today is day one of Tom and I getting to be a couple (as opposed to keepers of a rowdy herd) and we have our whole big house all to ourselves.

Last night we enjoyed a nice glass of Chocolate wine in the hot tub in the tower. this morning, we got up a little early and had went back to the tower for a peaceful soak to start our day.

Ahhhh, this is the life! http://www.pic4ever.com/images/bathtime.gif

How did you have your chocolate wine? I have heard some people like it chilled or on ice or in coffee....

I would drink it straight out of the bottle if there were no other options. I really like that stuff.

Hey! Maybe THAT'S how I'll make it through this summer madness!

Give me the recipe please. That's the one downer to going to 8am-3pm over SUMMER. I will be stuck at home with the hoodlums, I mean children.

I'll be home every morning all summer with mine. I love them dearly but it does make me appreciate school by the time September rolls back around.
