Pinkeye...new tooth...trip next week...summertime craziness!

I have a couple weeks off, then I'll work a summer program for a month. It WAS going to be at the high school, but now they changed the location to my school, so I get to work at my own site for the summer! That's good, cuz I can get a head start on the cleaning and organizing for the fall!

Plus its closer to my house.

No super big plans for the summer yet. I will visit my sister south of me. My other sister moved back north, far away, in hot country, not sure if I will make it to her property. Yes, only property, no house on it, or water, or electric, its in the mountains. Still CA though.

I will also travel with my DH once or twice. His office is near my niece's house. When he goes to the office, he sometimes stays the night over there, cuz the office is two hours away, and sometimes the meetings run late.

And the chicken pen may get finished, its getting a new roof so chickens do not have to get rained on this winter, the current roof is full of holes, its old. And its getting made a little wider, so they have more room.

I don't want to count my chickens either, I keep telling DH I have 7, but he can tell there is more than that, lol
I think I really have 18.

Hi Buff!

Well, it feels like I have sand in my eye, it's bright red, swollen, and when I woke up this morning it was crusted shut.

Delightful, no?

I hope you never get it!

Oh and to add insult to injury - especially after realizing the insurance thread is right next door - pinkeye meds were 86.00 and the crown was 1035.00.

I don't think I've ever had pink eye, but I used to get styes. Now I am good about washing my eyes where the lashes come out, whenever I am in the dust etc and that really helps, I think it was always mainly my right eye. Oh, and thats why I do not wear makeup, cuz I'd get a stye.
One time it turned into a bump that never drained and after months and months I had to get it lanced, cuz the bump was rubbing my eyeball and it was annoying.
Ewww, my eyelids was turned inside out, and then a needle stuck in the lid, and an exacto knife cut it and the goop dug out, and I had to watch the whole thing cuz i could not close my eye!

So, I guess you do not have insurance?

I have it, but a really high deductible, so I have a few dr bills to pay right now.

I have pinkeye again too. Darn this warm weather! I can't keep BamBam's clothes on, and he can't keep his hands out of his butt. When I got laid off, I called my doctor and had him perscribe all the common childhood ilness meds. I had ONE DAY before my insurance ran out. So I filled them all, and the refills, and have a little backstock of that kinda stuff.

I am prepared for pink-eye, when the zombies come.

In other news: Shane brought home a HUGE monkey gym for the kids. They see endless fun, I see a broken arm and future chicken coop.

We do have insurance. Dental will pay half of the crown, I will pay the other half. Our health insurance is a high deductible health savings account plan, so I pay everything up to $3300 individual/$6600 family.

Dust his behind with cayenne pepper? That'll learn him next time he rubs his eyes.

I guess I am not winning the Mother of the Year Award either am I?

I don't want him to get to liking that sorta burn.

Because he's the kinda kid who would.
