Pip on bottom of shell ... ??? HAPPY UPDATE WITH PICS, P 2.

I'm already questioning why I ever thought three at a time would be okay??! Thanks for the warning-slash-welcome to incubators anonymous! Wow ... now what model do I buy??!

(Edited to add: ^^ This is only a rhetorical question! I will do plenty of research on the forum ... didn't want this to turn into a spin-off!)

i use a still air with auto turner(no name will be given) lol this is my first hatch and i am so eggcited...some were 10-11 days old by the time the post office got them to me and i got them into the bator...didnt feel right to just toss the old ones without given them a chance

My temp was the same, about 99.5 the whole time. My humidity was the same as yours too, about 30% until I noticed the pip, which is when I moved the whole incubator into the bathroom and filled up the bathtub with hot water to get my humidity up to 65%. It was very very difficult to maintain a high humidity in the tiny incubator ... I'm really happy that the two made it out!

What are you hatching, hdowden? And when did you set? I was really surprised when I saw that pip yesterday morning. It was only day 18. I set them on the 29th of September, a Thursday. Mine were mailed, too, so I guess the warm air and high humidity got them started!

We kept the exact same temp and humidity until day 18 then increased the humidity to 70%. So far so good, day 20 with 6 pips, chirping and rocking!

Looks like I'm heading over to a new main topic, the "Raising Chickens" portion of the forum. Best of luck to all of you! I'm going to keep checking back .. I've gotta see how your little ones finally come out!
