Oh hi there! Following.
I have a thread rambling about my silkies and its pretty much just me and TwoCrows as wellI haven't updated it since I did a hatch-a-long thread back in January.
Thank you! No worries about forgetting to update, I'll definitely post enough reminders, and I'm sure Tink and the others will be doing the same (if they have their own hatches)!

I'll try to remember her name from now on (remembered how to spell half of it!), hopefully Gwenyth starts laying soon enough! Australian bush turkeys are sooo cool, their incubation process is so interesting, and their super precocial chicks are so dang special! She has a lovely name for sure!
I like your novels, I've learned a lot!Goodness, if only I had that problem! I can get pretty wordy at times in my posts Maybe that's why my threads tend to only be me--no one wants to read my novels!![]()
Welcome!
Sounds exactly like me here! This is more active than this thread has been in years!
Haha, I'll do my best!I tend to keep up with the updates at first, and then a month or two passes and it's like... Oh, yeah, I haven't posted anything in forever!
They are super cool! Gwenyth did her best to look like one growing up, too! I even found a picture of a white one that was like spot on how Gwenyth looked at the time! My little pocket turkeyIf it's easier for you to remember, I call her Gwen or Gwennie all the time, too!

Ah, yeah, I remember you mentioning that before, too! I wish I knew how to fix that for you, that's so weird!
On another topic, I found old man Reuben on the floor in the big coop this morning, laying there rather strangely. When I approached, he sort of twisted his head up at me at a weird angle. This is not the first time I've had an older bird suddenly show symptoms of wry neck in association with a cold snap like what we had here last night, and in the other case the bird recovered fine on her own after a few hours of warmer temps, so I'm hoping the same will happen with Reuby. I did move him to a cage with food and water so that he wouldn't be trampled by the other birds or anything, and he was eating on his own when I left, so that seems like a good sign! It's supposed to get back above freezing this afternoon and pretty much stay there, so I'll see how he's doing by then.
