Pipd's Peeps!

Duckling is so pretty :love ! She's matured very nicely! I do see why you'd want to evaluate birds much later...slow maturing breeds test your patience! I probably couldn't have waited as much as you do, I admire your patience!

That they definitely do 😅 Drives me a little bit nuts waiting on them to get to that point, but I suppose that's fine because I think I had to be a little nuts to get into chicken breeding anyway 🤣

I will say that four months was a little shocking for me as well, but with the serama I better get used to it

I should get used to that, too, then. I do really want to work with silkied Serama some day. :love Seeing your beauties and the babies they've made (well, that Gaga's made) may or may not be making me want them sooner rather than later 🤭

Haha I think all chicken people are a little nuts...but hey life's good, and chickening doesn't hurt anyone!

Oh my gosh, you don't know how happy I am to hear that my birds made you want to get serama even more! I'm SO glad to hear! I too want silkied serama, well, you want a few, I want one; still, I think they're very cool! The only other silkied bird I'd get (except for maybe a silkied cochin for the mix breed bantam pen)

I've got eggs cooking in the incubator now :yesss: It feels so early to have eggs incubating, but I guess last year I had them incubating this early as well.

4 of those are most likely Judy eggs, too :love I only really got any kind of confirmation on the one, but I've only gotten one egg at a time in that side of the coop, and the other side with the pullets that I haven't decided on whether they're keeps or not yet I've gotten like 4 or 5 at a time, of course. So I feel like most likely all 4 of those eggs from that side of the coop came from Judy. Fingers crossed they're fertilized!! :fl

:wee :yesss: :celebrate Judy booties!!!!!!!!! Aaaaaaaahhhhh!!!!

If I cross my fingers to not hatch everything I put in the incubator out would that be weird? Because really if this deal falls through I'm gona be stuck with alot of chicks. Lol.

A bit unconventional, but I'll allow it. 🤭 Hopefully you aren't stuck with a bunch of chicks you don't want! :fl

Y'all, it's so dark still thanks to daylight saving time and my first thought when I woke up and heard the sound of my incubator running in the room with me was that it was dark enough still that I could candle the eggs this morning... The ones I just set yesterday afternoon. :th I think I might have a peeking addiction. 🤣
