Those first chickens sure are special (no matter the breed, or thought to be breedI named her JellyBean because I thought that was fitting for an Easter Egger.
But, even as a Brahma the name suited her. I miss her sassy attitude. She was one of my first chickens - her and her 3 ISA Brown sisters they started all that is today.![]()

Uh oh!We have named the rosecomb cockerel. His name is Reaper (hatched on Halloween) he's also trying out for the kicker of the NFL team the Ravens. Lol.

), it was tiny lil know-it-all kiddo Pip with some random chicken book that was only vaguely correct about most of its info, sure that I had gotten things like Old English Pheasant Fowl from our local TSC store. Tonight should be far enough along to peek under Morena and Inara to see how their eggs are doing, though of course too early to definitely call anything clear yet. I'll keep y'all posted!
