pipped in the turner,,,,Pictures added

I'll try and get some when I switch them to the brooder. Last time I looked there were 8 out, another almost out, and one with a pretty good size hole. That leaves 3 eggs that I don't see anything happening....but I'll give them some time yet since day 21 doesn't start until tonight!!

I've got all 4 grandkids this week because of spring break and we're getting ready to haul calves to the sale tomorrow so I kinda feel like I'm meeting myself coming and going the last couple of days...but I promise pictures sooner or later!!

Jessica just had this happen a few weeks ago. One of her black orps pipped and zipped in the turner on day 18. I was just going to bed and checked one more time and there was it's little head sticking out of the top of the egg. I could have fainted!! We quickly put them in the hatcher and and the next morning, beginning of day 19 another one pipped zipped and hatched in about 15 minutes. What is up with all these orps?

Ok....even tho I still have 2 eggs pipped I had to get the babies out and into the brooder. I'll have no time to do it tomorrow since we're hauling calves to the sale and the oldest chick is going on 48 hours tonight. I left the last one that hatched in the incubator. Hopefully the other 2 that are pipped will make it out tonight. That just leaves 2 eggs with nothing happening in that hatcher. I do have some more eggs in the other incubator/hatcher that are due in the next couple of days. Anyway I took a couple of pix of them when I moved them to the brooder.

We could do a trade MissPrissy!!

The other 2 made it out last night so later today when I get home I'll move them to the brooder. Don't see any sign of pips on the remaining 2 eggs. I am sold on the hatching in the egg carton method!!!!!!! 11 out of 13 that went into the hatcher made it on this batch.

I also have one pip in the other hatcher on bamachicken's orps.

Yeah...more babies!!
