Day 22, nine eggs in bator, two pips. The first one to pip has burst its shell low down in the middle of the egg. It's now trying to zip the 'wrong' way - going underneath the egg. The egg is rocking about like mad and there's a LOT of cheeping going on. Is it likely to have a problem getting out of the egg?

For the record: I'm NOT thinking of opening the bator. No way! Just looking for other peoples' experience of topsy-turvy hatchers!

Yup, it pipped about 8 hours ago. I was just wondering if trying to 'zip' round underneath where the egg is actually resting on the cloth would cause the chick any bother. But the egg is now rolling around all over the place so I guess not! Thanks for the answer.

90 minutes after last comment it hatched fine. Worrying about nothing...
