I have had two eggs pip at the wrong end of their eggs so far: an orphaned dove egg that died shortly after pipping, and a goose egg that has just now poked out a pretty good chunk of egg but from the wrong end! This has scarcely happened to me before, so I need to know... What can cause this? I stopped turning these eggs four days ago to allow them to get into position, and still I have this! What can cause these complications and how do I fix my methods?
Also, is there anything I should be aware of about this baby? Seems very strong although its sibling seems to have died before internally pipping at all... Argh! I didn't do anything differently with the other egg, and I've hatched goose eggs before, too... But is there anything I should know about babies that hatch from the wrong end?
