we're on day 15!
Hatching Mats are used in the floor of the incubator for safer hatching. The incubator has a smooth/shiny floor, meaning that, the chicks can slip and injure themselves during hatching.

The mats are designed with a ripple/corrugated effected to make it a non-slip area for the chicks to avoid injury.

oooh, I see. Could you not have made that yourself with a shelf liner or something? or do they have to be that cardboard texture?

well, the middle hole has to be the exact right size, otherwise it will slide around

Egg number 1, the air cell has fixed itself! Moving around, looking quite good. Not any worries about this one.

Egg number 3, I was worried about the "vein space" but this one is moving so... Looking good! @6BeachChicks

Egg number 4, not sure about this one. I don't see any movement. Just a dark mass. Pretty sure this one is a quitter, but I haven't eliminated it. @SilkiePrincess

Egg number 5, well, wow! This one's super duper lively! Lots of movement! Nothing I'm worried about with this egg. Best of luck to this little one! @LadiesAndJane @FluffyLambs

Egg number 6, I was worried about this one because of that "vein space", but this chick is moving around so... This one's looking good too. @Little Baby Bean
