seems i promised to post the pizza dough recipe i like, so i thought i'd pony up.

Fast Pizza Dough (makes one Large crust)

3 Cups AP Flour
1/4 TBLS Dry Active Yeast
2 TBLS Veggie Oil (or oil of choice-olive oil would be tasty!)
1 tsp Salt
1 TBLS White Sugar
1 C Warm Water (110 degrees F)

1. Dissolve sugar in water. Add yeast and stir. Let the sponge proof in a warm place. (I turn the oven on to 170 and count to 20 then turn the heat off and the oven light on. Leave light on, just the right temp to proof or rise breads.)

2. Add oil and stir. Add salt and then stir in flour one cup at a time.

3. Knead just a little and then spread out on a Large pizza pan.

4. Top as desired.

5. Bake at 375 F for 20-25 minutes.

enjoy!

I am SO gonna try this recipe! It sounds dElish! I love to make breadsticks. This recipe sound a lot easier though. The dry active yeast... is that like 1 little packet?

Thanks! Just what I needed.

you can use the packets, but you will need to measure it out still. i don't use packets, too expensive. yeast can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

i personally use quick rise yeast. i don't have to use warm water, it gets mixed in with the dry ingredients and then add room temp water. also when quick rise yeast is used, you reduce the yeast amount by 25%. i buy it in bulk at Sam's Club.

so in this recipe, the 1/4 TBLS active dry yeast would = 3/16 of a TBLS of quick rise yeast.

edited because i had a duh moment.
