how long does it take to ship eggs out?
Do they just chip eggs out and you get them when you get them?
Or do they let you know an estimated time or arrival so that you can know when to expect them?

Also, what mailing company do they normally use?
Is it safe to put them under the hen as soon as I get them?

Any additional information on what to expect is greatly appreciated.

Where did you order them from? Most of this depends on the seller. Some will wait a few days to collect eggs, while others will have them ready. I've had eggs shipped only hours after I ordered and some a week later.

The seller should send you a notification of when they've shipped, along with a tracking number, so you know when to expect them. They usually arrive a few days after shipping. But again, this all depends on the individual, and some of the shipping process may be affected by a shortage of postal staff, due to COVID-19.

I like to let mine sit, air cell/wide end up, for about 24 hours before putting them under the hen/in the incubator.

Sometimes during shipping, air cells will detach. They are supposed to be in the wide end, so I've heard that letting them sit for 24 hours wide end up can help with those detached air cells.

Could I place them on this upside down?
