Placed an order on Cackle hatchery but I'm concerned...

Hello all!
I just placed an order for 25 silkie chicks, but after I placed it, it said "Please allow at least 10 business days to receive your confirmation of a reserved hatch/shipping date we have found for you. You will be notified by phone, mail or email" What exactly does this mean? Could my order not be shipped until a month or so? It said the next available date for white silkies was 5/13/19 so I requested and kind of figured they would ship on this date? What was everyone else's experience with them?

No it just a common thing they have on all orders. It is a CYA, if something were to happen on their end they will tell you. I ordered back in Jan and got the same thing. I have 0 problems with them. I got 2 extra chicks with my order they were all healthy. I did up losing 4 due to power loss to heat lamp. All the others are just fine. I would/will use them again had 0 issues with the company itself,

I got Silkie chicks from them in March. I bought 15 they sent 19, it was really cold and 3 died on the trip. I was still 1 over my order. One of my splashes has a cross beak though. I have peachicks coming in June from Cackle too.

Hey, did you guys get a tracking number or a shipping confirmation? I got some chicks from them a month ago and never got anything indicating they had shipped until the post office phoned me at 2:00 a.m. I figured they had messed up my order somehow and weren’t shipping.

Now I have some to ship on the 8th, arrive on the 10th, and I’m wondering whether to expect an e-mail from them or whether I ought to plan on calling for a tracking number?

Oh that stinks.. I ordered 25 and crossing my fingers that they'll all make it alive.. How long after the invoice did they ship? Sorry I'm just over anxious to get them

I never did receive an invoice yet. How long did it take to recieve yours after you placed the order?
