Friend of mine landed an airplane on a highway in New York a few years ago. Motor quit. She had just had it overhauled. She had to pay a fine. I never knew if she got the money for the fine from the mechanic who screwed up her plane engine.

As for the beach landing, seems pretty uncalled for if the person was just going to be airsick. Seriously, vomit can be cleaned up. If the passenger was suffering a stroke, heart attack, severe breathing problems, etc. THEN it would have been justified.
