Hope you will enjoy your Buff Orps as much I as do mine. The not-very-creatively named Honey is the chicken queen here. She is the last of my original hens, and while she is not overtly aggressive, she will hand out pecks to anyone who challenges her right to rule all the roosts! As a true Orp, she is beautifully fluffy and heavy bodied enough that flight isn't a real option for her. But nobody moves faster when grape treats are being handed out.

our buff orph is the happiest girl we have. always curious, always last one in coop at night and first one to greet us in the morning.

Hi Alex! I have 5 dogs and they are all great with the chicken. I have had only one issue with a dog vs chicken but we got that all ironed out a couple of years back. Now I just need to be alert for chicken feed thievery from the dogs, oh and egg thieves. Best wishes and welcome to BYC.
