We sure been getting lots of rain with the winds we been getting from the east.

Haha just as I read your post it started pouring outside.

I didn't fence off the seed.

The weather the past few days has been awesome. We have been getting cool breezes and the temp has been around 72 - 76. It has been lovely weather. Today is when the rain started. I am excited for the grass to start growing now that it is being watered. Hopefully in three days I will see some growth.

We been having the same weather except our rain started yesterday and it has been scattered showers.. suppose to clear off tomorrow

it is wet enough we got a slab to get poured on the first

Well I just made my first Excel spread sheet records for my peafowl. I put their name, what variety they are, their age, who I got them from, Their parents (If known), and finally who I will breed them to in 2014. After the breeding season I will be able to record their chicks. I also printed out what I did as a back up. I decided that I should start making a simple sheet for people buying a bird that says the name of the bird, its number, the parents, what variety it is, how old it is, and the pen number. It would also have my information on there. Since you do stuff like that with other animals like dogs, I figured why not with peafowl...

Anyways I always forget when I first got peafowl. I thought I have had them for longer but really I have had them for around 4 years. I got my first pair on October 11, 2009.

Recordkeeping maybe tedious at times,but it's always useful especially years down the road.

Yes and right now it is easy for me with only 8 birds. I am sure with 125 it takes you a while! I like entering things into the spread sheet. I highlighted the bird's names pink for females and blue for males, and in the column for where the birds came from, I highlighted it yellow for the ones that I have hatched here myself. It feels good to have it all organized!!!

To make your records accurate you need to band them.

It really isn't difficult at all. And not all that expensive.
