Just came in from checking on the garden. It's rained pretty good here for the last 2 days and everything looks like it had one giant growth spurt, lol.
Gotta get my lines up for the beans to climb. I've got an old patio umbrella that fabric has rotted off of; I have it standing in the middle of my tub of been seedlings. Going to run strings from the handles of the tub up and out on the arms of the umbrella. I've got some Moon Flowers planted in there too. Could be intesting.
Will be getting my first tomato probably tomorrow. It will be a cherry one, but it's still a fresh tomato!! Not those cardboard things from the store.
Still need to transplant a couple of pepper plants, but the sky is looking like it's building up for another go round of thunder and lightening. But like I said in another post, I don't complain much about the rain after the drought a few years back. Water from a garden hose isn't the same as it coming from a rain barrell
Tonight, I picked 3 plastic grocery bags of yellow squash abd 2 grocery bags of cucumbers. I gave some away to the neighbors and my DH is going to take some into work tomorrow.
