Our weather in Southern California has been crazy, but I do hope to plant my Snack Jack Pumpkins this weekend. I want to try some Long Island Cheese pumpkins, but I don't think I have the space for all those vines.

Easier than copy pasting and uploading after chucking some to make room for new yada yada... Any way's this weekend I made my first salad of the summer from the garden!!! Lettuce, cilantro, chives, carrot's, and lot's of other goodies!!! YUMMO!! Let's see Iv got the beginning's of corn husks, and green bean flowers starting, Iv also got strawberry that seem to be ripe every day, potato's ohhhh I am really enjoying digging up a few baby tater's and cooking them up for dinner.... so SO good! The DH calls the garden the "grocery store" lol. Every time we start thinking about dinner we both start shooting off idea for dinner based around what we have ripe at the moment lol. Love Love Love growing our own food!

I just started today!! I have planted cantaloupes, pumpkins, cilantro, beans, peas, and soon maybe some corn??!

I got attacked by my cucumber vines this week. I just couldn't take it any more - - - - way too many cucumbers - - WHAT WAS I THINKING ? ? ? ? ? ?

So, I pulled a couple of vines out of the garden. Now, maybe I won't fall while trying to make my way through the maze.

I just plannted some seeds of OKRA, EggPlant, and Green Beans. I am hoping by the time they get big enough to transplant . . . those dang cucumbers will be DEAD. Unfortnately, nothing is showing signs of dying yet.

My husband has enlarged the garden twice this year - - - and he says NO MORE ! ! !

My green beans are not doing as well this year and I don't know why. My harvest has been small off of them. The plants look OK - - - just not that many blooms and not the much fruit / beans. . .. What do you think - - - Need more phorphous (bone meal) or is it the 90 degree days?

OR you could way overplant like I did on the cucumbers and that will cut down on the weeds

OR you could put some pine straw down iin the walk ways - - - it helps the weeds not grow too
