Play Skool House, ALMOST DONE!!!

Aren't men hilarious? I've learned (raising 3 ds) that if I make it a challenge, or use a complicated/dangerous tool, or get started by doing it differently than they think I should.....they jump right in and take over. I love my men, but they can be so frustrating!

You are sooooo right:clap
I have also found some kinds of people, and actually as many women as men (and usually my employers) with whom you must plant the seed of an idea, then wait for it to grow. It usually took about 4-6 weeks to sprout as that person's brilliant idea!

Oh gosh!!! I dont have 4wks to wait!!!

We have had this now for almost a week, and for a week,...I said we are expecting heavy thunderstorms and it needs to get done BEFORE you leave for work again...

I just finished building a play skool coop. I'll try to get some pictures up today. It turned out so cute!!

We built a base for it to sit up on. It's a 3' high wood frame with hardware cloth and a solid wood top for hte house to sit on. Then we added a run. I made a nest box to sit in the window and put hardware cloth on the windows. Then last weekend we finally added the run. I'm pleased with how it turned out. It's built from mostly recycled materials. Not as nice as most of the coops on here, but we are really happy with it. (And I did a lot of the work myself. I'd never built anything before so I had fun "playing." DH helped me quite a bit, though. And cursed me and my unsquare structure when he was trying to put the roof on, LOL!)

HenHouse, you better get those pictures!!! I'd like to see what all I can do....mine will be inside the run...the only reason for the covering of the windows and doors is to keep them in when it storms...and when winter comes, especially since its plastic.

Like I said I was thinking of adding a bottom...setting it up on cyinder blocks...and putting deep litter for them to get cozy...

DH said lets cover in chicken wire, then got the idea of the grill on the fans we arent using...plastic...and dh is gonna add hinges on the top of the windows and make a board that connects so that I can close it or prop it open

so give me ideas Hen!
