Hi there. I just got a lovely new hen today. She’s sweet as can be. But I quickly discovered she enjoys escaping over my 8 foot enclosure. I clipped one wing, and she can still get out. I clipped the other wing, and she can still get out. I love this new addition but I’m scared that she’s going to get injured or lost. Any suggestions? The rest of my flock has never tried to escape like this before!

If you already have a run built, putting bird netting over it will be relatively simple. It's also a very, very good idea, as it prevents hawks from killing your birds.
Shut her in the coop or a similar enclosure for now so she can't get out, then get some bird netting and install it.

Is she separated and protected from the rest of your flock? She could be scared, or might be getting bullied and she's trying to get away. Integrating a new hen can be very traumatic for the new girl, especially if she's the only new one. Try the See But Don’t Touch method to help her learn to accept her new home as well as protecting her from any possible attacks from you other birds. The fact that she is still clearing an 8' enclosure indicates that your clip job is not sufficient. Many times people clip the wings but don't clip it enough for fear of injuring the bird. Can you photograph one of her songs, extended, to show the clip you did?
