Please advise - sticky chick plus unabsorbed yolk?

Hmm...that's worse than any I have dealt with. Is it veins that are protruding or is it maybe intestines? Hard to tell from the picture, but if it is the intestine there is very little you can do...I would still put antibiotic ointment on it if you have some on hand. Sorry I can't help more :(

Can he stand on his own now? You could try rinsing his wound with lukewarm water and apply Strong antibacterial ointment to prevent from bacterial infection.. You can do that daily... If problem persists, you will have to search for a trustworthy veterinarian.....

I can’t tell what it is :/ it is drying up and receding though. And he’s passed two more poops so something is working with the route! I think the stuff protruding may be just umbilical cord? He finally calmed down and slept a TON which was good. I thought maybe it was the end because he wouldn’t wake for food but I just cleaned and dressed the wound and he took two droppers of sugar water. I wrapped him in gauze instead of the paper towel to leave a spot for him to do a poo and not worry about contamination of the wound dressing.

Still not standing :/ I found a website that has PT steps for chickens with legs splay. Once he conquers this belly thing (if he does) my plan is to use the tape and try to build his strength.
