Aspen's eyes filled with worry, as she trotted over. She looked at the lifeless foal, then at Americus. "W-what happened...?" She stuttered, tears on her cheeks.

Americus rubbed his head on his leg, wiping away the tears. He took a deep, shaky breath. "He fell into the stream, and I lifted him out, and he started to cough, and - and he... died," Tears began to stream down his cheeks. "It's my stupid fault! He should still be here, not me," Americus bit his lip, and a small bead of blood appeared on his lip.
