The Norwegian Fjord trotted urgently over to Esther and the small foal, eyes alert and watchful. Carefully he lowered his head and sniffed the foal gently. He sighed, and straightened up. The foal didn't have long to live, if something wasn't done. "Is your mother nearby?" Remus asked Esther, eyes searching the field for any mare still in milk.
