We got 3 Polish chickens this spring. My wife the other day said she swore she heard one of them crowing. Didnt believe her then started looking up difference between the hen and cockerel...and now I have a feeling we got a male, can everyone please help and confirm for us?

Aggressiveness, mating, red spots in the eggs, baby chicks, feather pecking from over mating, crowing...the list goes on. Unless you're expecting dinner...judging by the breed I would say not.

Thank you for all the responses. So chances are we have 2 males of the 3 we have. Just read that roosters are not allowed in city where we live. Wife wants to keep them until we get found out lol, but once that happens...best options for getting rid of them. Trying to be realistic and plan for when it happens, we have good neighbors but I doubt they will be happy if they have 2 roosters crowing?
