Cute little ducks that shout loudly: they are used traditionally by duck hunters to lure other ducks.

Really nice. but totally unsuitable to suburban neighborhoods that ban back yard duck keeping. There is no way you can keep call ducks under the radar.

Muscovy dont quack, so they are really quiet. Also, I have really hard time hearing my drake over my loud ladies. I swear it is like he is just moving his beak and saying nothing.

I never knew! I thought all ducks sounded like our pant less friend... I have noticed a big difference in our drake’s little noise though. Much quieter than his lady friends, he can hardly get a word in!

A call duck is a bantam sized duck breed. They are very cute, but very loud. They are a showable type of duck.

Yup. The females make trills, coos, chirp and huff. The males hiss and huff. I use to have a drake, and he made a hissing sound that reminded my husband of the dilophosaurus from Jurassic Park. It scared him the first time, because the drake was behind him.
