Please help! 6 Month old chicken not walking properly and sitting down

Well, she was at the vets for 7 hours and they did an X-ray and found a large egg. We're guessing it was her first one and it was very hard to pass.
They apparently steamed the chicken coaxing it to lay but to no avail. We left it with them until 4pm to see if she was going to lay it or we decide to put her down and at about quarter to 4 the phone rang with the news>>!!

She still looks bad but thats no suprise, shes a bit better than before, do you think this was her first egg, do you think she will be o.k from now on?

Chickens are funny creatures and very resilient. If she does ever get egg bound again thats can be an easy fix. Give are a warm bath or two. It usually does the trick. Im glad it wasnt worms or anything.

Oh and sometimes you can use mineral oil and lube up the vent to make it easier to pass.
