Please help a newbie out!

You’ll have to wait a few more weeks to know for sure. They’re too young to tell just yet.

First signs are normally the more pink/red combs and wattles. The cockerels and the pullets will butt heads and rough each other up. So it’s normally not a good way to tell who’s who when they’re really young.

The birds below are around 4 weeks. See the obvious cockerels? That’s what you’ll want to be looking for. If they mature early of course. 5 and 6 weeks is even easier to tell.

Can I ask why you think this x

absolutely- I usually tell my birds apart by their crests, roosters have taller and thicker crests while hens have smaller, thinner ones. I can usually tell them apart with 90% accuracy, even if they are just days or weeks old
