Please Help! Biting 4 mo. Chicken!!!!!!

I used to have a goose that tried t nip me when my back was turned. Every time he tried I would pick him up and carry him around on his back legs up. I did this in front of his 2 hens. He soon got the idea that I was ahead of him on the pecking order. Wear a jacket to protect your arms and pick her up carry her around legs up in front of the other hens she will soon get the idea that you are boss. :D

So Jimminy427, I can't help but read these comments you've been getting without wanting to smart mouth some people. Seriously people, such rude and helpless comments?

I notice you have very few posts, so I hope you continue to come to this site. I've had a few issues myself with getting no help or less than helpful replies but there are GREAT people on this site.

I have six girls and one of my red sex links is the "boss" and started getting fairly aggressive around 4 weeks old. What I did, and granted it was pretty easy considering her size, was I physically held her down and showed her my dominance. It did take awhile for it to work though. She no longer acts like the boss with me but still tries it with my daughter. My daughter is not allowed to hold the chickens so what I've been working on her her is to "shoo" and swat the chicken away, so far it's working. But it sounds like you need to get physical with this bird. And at four months is should be pretty darn clear if it's a rooster (duh?)
