please help day 18..PICS. They've grown up. 16 week update post #318

I love your brooder! That is perfect! No, I don't use sawdust. I use pine shavings. I know they have a very sensitive respiratory system, and I think that is why the sawdust may not be recommended.

So, how are all the babies doing?

the chicks are doing fine, last night was their first night outside even though they were in their little house. I was so worried about them being too hot or too cold but they were great this morning so everything must have been ok. and we have another guinea fowl that hatched sometime this morning but we lost one from that group yesterday he had all this jelly stuff around him and he was stuck so we tried to help him out but he didn't make it.

here is a photo of the brooder. I put the towls on top last night to keep in the heat. sorry the carport is a mess.

and the top opens up on both sides for easy cleaning like this.

now all we need is a coop and we are set. I am thinking of breeding some of the chickens but I am not sure which type yet ( sussex, pekin, silkie ) and I will be selling the guinea fowl, I think it is going to be hard to part with them
