I've been told that pip-to-zip should not take more than 24 hours. Once, I waited that long, and the chick didn't make it. I usually jump in earlier to assist. I've never lost a chick that I've assisted, although people tend to advise against assisting early. So it’s day 22 and my two other eggs have already hatched and my bantam egg I think has pipped last night or this morning but no progress all day when should I help

Things to look for: Is the chick moving? Is the pip at the right end, near the air cell?
There are excellent articles here that can help you safely help a chick out, if you decide to do that. Again, I can only speak from my on experience. I've never been sorry I jumped in to help, and I have regretted waiting. I realize that this information may be too late for this hatch, but perhaps it can help for the future.
