Please Help!!!!!!!!!!!!! Emergency!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok dude! First and foremost, calm down! This might sound stupid, but when you frett and freak out, you can't help anything.

then, seperate the chick and observe very carefully. ensure that the chick is drinking and eating properly. forget about the leg for now and give vitamin suppliment in the mean time as mentioned by another BYC user.

Make sure the chick is in good health otherwise. If the chick seems happy, active and eating and drinking well, then it's a leg injury or deformity which can be dealt with seperately.

As long as the chick is healthy and eating and drinking (hence the vitamin suppliment), then the chick will learn to move around with the leg. there is a thread about special needs chickens with PLENTY of stories of chickens with "wobbly bits' and still thriving none the less.

I completely agree. I would separate the chick and use paper towels on the floor of the brooder instead of woodchips for a few days at least. This should make it easier for the chick to walk on a completely flat/smooth surface and should also help you to tell exactly what is going on with the chick's leg.

Dip its beak in the water a little. Did you get the vitamins for it? If you did, I would also dip its beak in the vitamins. There may not be much you can do except to keep it separated, comfortable, warm, and try to get it to drink by dipping its beak. Do you have any pictures of the injury? Maybe posting pics on the injury board would help get you more responses.

sorry to hear dude!

Sometimes these things just happen. baby chicks are so difficult when it comes to disease. they are so tiny, it's impossible to see what is going on. When I lost a chick, I reminded myself that I have other healthy chicks and they are happy. I never forget the fallen ones.
so to look on the bright side, post us some photo's of the remaining chicks if you can ;-)

Sure I will. Later on today!

Its just that was the only chick that came from my personal flock of chickens!

Its ok though like you said.. I still have other chicks:cool:
