Please help! I just discovered my 5 day old chick has a prolapsed vent.

Some people have good results with Witch Hazel which I don't have on hand. Should I make the 40 minute round trip to the store now to get some or is there something else I could use in the mean time? I have aloe vera gel and vaseline at the moment.

Search the forum for prolapsed vent. I saw something about preparation H but, not sure if that is only for adult chickens and not chicks?
