I say cockerel because of the large red comb, the pointy saddle feathers, and his coloring.Now for those of you saying Roo/cockerel can you tell me why? I thought I had read on EE's coloring that a male will have more splotchy coloring and a female will have more even coloring. Also that Roo's grow/mature faster. My MIL had got 11 pullets from Tractor Supply two died shortly after but there are a a couple (all same age as mine but I didn't get mine from TSC) that are way bigger and there combs are huge and bright red with big thick legs etc.
I'm still new to chickens for the most part so all I can do is go by what I've read which is why I ask why you guys say cockerel
