Please Help Identify

that is what I was thinking, especially since he has the reddish tint to him

They were supposed to be all females...but, if he was a packing peanut, then I know anything goes. If he really is a Red Star, then I might not mind keeping him (if my neighbor doesn't mind

). Are there any pics I could take that would help identification? Thanks so much for the input so far!

Mrs.Puff :

I thought red star roos were way more reddish than that. White, but kinda dirty white. It's definitely not a CX. No way.

he is still pretty young? A lot of the cockerals I have of most breeds don't get their *big boy* feathers till they are a little older

So, does everyone think he is a Red Star? Will I ever be able to know for sure? I wouldn't mind breeding him to my Red Star hens, if that is the case. I'm going to be building a coop for my mom and I'm sure she'd love to have some of this breed too. I really appreciate all the help.

yes I got them as packing peanuts once and most had darker red and a few looked like yours. he will have more red as an adult but mine still didnt have near as much as the others and it was al ighter red kinda gold.

Well, you might check up on the breeding of red stars. I thought they were hybrids, so I don't know if you can breed the roosters to the hens and still come out with red stars exactly.
