what is DE i got baby chicks 2 weeks old with mites thanks

Diatomaous Earth, you'll need to buy the food grade, but I can say that it won't kill lice or mites. you'll need to get poultry dust or 7 sevin dust and dust those babies, but keep it out of the faces. you'll also need to clean out bedding and dust whatever they are sleeping in. I have used DE for years and my chickens got mites didn't touch them..................forgot to say Welcome to BYC!!!
