Please help, it’s urgent

I'm thinking that some aspirin or ibuprofen might be worth a try, as pain management and as anti inflammatory. If it injured it's neck, you never know, that could help. I don't know what dose you'd give a chick that size, though. Maybe one of the others here know.

It's not your fault it's the websites fault it told you the wrong thing. If you would like a better way to tell the chicks genders then you can use this method though it's not 100 percent. You flip them on their backs in your hand then wait for them to stop kicking their legs. A pullet will hold it's legs inward a young rooster will hold it's legs outward.

This is nothing more than an old wives tale just like the original thing that led the OP to this situation. There is absolutely 0 scientific backing to "sexing" a bird with this method.

although it’s eating and drinking some water it looks almost dead, I’ve tried reviving her through so many methods but no luck,
it just doesn’t stand anymore it will fall and it’s barely moving, I wrapped a towel around it for the head to rest, I also looked into vets but none specialize in poultry in my area, I feel like total crap for following a stupid method and hurting one of my favourite chicks, but when I held it in my hands it continuously vibrates, could this be mereks? I had about 14 chicks, 13 are doing well and growing really fast, eating and drinking this morning but this one isn’t, is there anything I could do, I would hate to put it down just in case it’s somehow revives itself

Doubt it's mareks, especially if it was fine before the 'test',
and it doesn't usually present until birds are older than 3 weeks.
Could be nerve damage in neck.
Only you can decide if and when to euthanize.
If a bird can't stand/move and eat/drink on it's own after about 48 hours, I put them down...have let them go longer in the past, now I don't prolong the suffering.

I would suggest that you stop messing with it. I'd make it a little supportive nest as was suggested last night, keep food and water near it, and leave it be. (Unless you manage to get some NutriDrench and want to dose it.) The more you try to help it, the more stressed it's going to get. If it makes it through the night tonight, assess it in the morning and you will be able to make a better decision.

today he/she has gone much weaker than what it was yesterday, it just rests, than has a bit or two goes back to sleep, I haven’t slept all night I hate the fact I could such a good heart that it affects me deeply which is why I hate having pets, if something happens it breaks my heart

Maybe it's shaking or trembling due to the stress of being handled. You do have a good heart, and I can tell that you would never intentionally hurt an animal. Please don't beat yourself up. As aart says, we have all made a fatal mistake at one time or another. Lesson learned.

Warmth and quiet are the best things you can give your peep, right now. Every hour or so, give it a little bit if water with electrolytes in it (or straight Chick Saver/Pedialyte.) Use an eyedropper to put a droplet along the side of the baby's beak, along the side. The peep will usually open its mouth to swallow the liquid. If you try to put it straight into the baby's mouth, it may drown. Sounds weird, but it's true. If a chicken (especially a weak or sick one) doesn't actually swallow the liquid on its own, the stuff can go down the windpipe instead of the throat.

There should be a thread of “old wives tales” some are just silly some come from a lack of knowledge some from superstition.
We thankfully have a different way to pass on knowledge.

There are several Myth threads already on this site. But feel free to start another one, or rejuvenate an old one. Many of these myths and old wives tales resurface all the time.

Guys I’m deeply saddened to tell you guys that I put her/him down, the chick wasn’t getting any better we tried everything, even save a chic but it wasn’t showing any condition of getting better it kept gasping for air and had became a lot weaker

I do recommend that we as human being’s should stop these horrible horrible methods which could seriously injury our chicks, we should just give them affection water and food and let them grow up, it will stay with me for a long time but at least it’s at rest now
