Please help!! I've had 5 chicks die in 12 hours

If you have a vet, take a fecal sample to be sure it is coccidia...it could always pop up false negative but I feel like if it is coccdia and they are dying should show up on a fecal test

I work at a vet. I'm taking a chick and a sample to look at tonight when I go in

I've had 4 vorwerk chicks die in 12 hours. They are pooping blood, but it's just straight bright red blood. No actual feces. They get really weak, have a seizure (?), then die. I've tried departing them as soon as I notice they are sick, but by that time they don't seem to be savable. They are from eggs I ordered online that I hatched. I have medicated feed for them, probiotics and electrolytes in their water. And as soon as I noticed the blood I added baycox to the water at 1.5mL per a liter. This morning I woke up to the 4th one dead, and a cochin I'm a completely different brooder box extremely weak with no bloody stool. Idk what to do. I've raised hundreds of birds and have never had this happen. I'm beside myself.

Great! Since you work at a vet, can you get some red rubber catheter tubes for tube feeding? A size 10 french will work for chicks.

I can! I will bring some home for sure. I took the four other vorwerks with me to work. They all seem to be fine. I have the other techs helping me monitor them

I deleted this thread doesn't it seem to extreme to be cocidous? Or is it a another form of it?

It is not too extreme to be cocci. I have experienced at least two strains of it and have had a flock come down with a serious strain like the one OP has
