Please help me choose a breed- Vote for either Khaki or Appleyard plz!

I have to vote for muscovies. I always thought they were ugly and just not my thing, but since I've gotten some I can't wait to get more, and actually wish my whole flock was muscovies. They really are beautiful, especially the black and white ones. The black has irredecsent green in it, and they are just lovely in the sun! They are also the friendlest breed I've ever raised (had swedes, rouens, mallards, mixes, magpies, and muscovies.) and they still come up and eat right out of my hand, even though they've been out in the flock for months now. They can also stand the feathers on their head up like a mowhawk, which is super cool looking.

appleyard they will go broody they lay about 200 +/- eggs a year not that loud very perty and you can order ducklings online


ETA should be able to get them farily esily over in england

You can order khakis from any online hatchery nearly all the year round,as they lay all year round, are queit and lay 300+ eggs somtimes up to 360+ go for the khakis.

At the moment it looks like Khakis but IMO I think Appleyard will be the best, really easy to get hold of here, good amount of eggs, and good broody.

I would say Khakis because I absolutely love mine, but I never had the intention of them raising ducklings and I haven't had them long enough to know if they will go broody or not (I have heard conflicting answers). If I was going to get a different breed, I would probably go with Appleyard, as well. Good luck with the duck raising!
