Please help me Help my little guy!

ok- I few weeks ago, I posted photos of my chicks feet since I am new and didn’t know what to do! The bottom of this foot is healed 100%, but he has these cuts or something on his toes. He is 5, almost 6 weeks, never been around any other chickens or outside or anything- well of course his hatchmates he is with, but they also haven’t been anywhere....only one other chick has a couple cuts on his toes- we have been soaking his feet, putting Vaseline on his legs and toes with small paint brush on a daily basis- I am not sure what I am treating! I can’t imagine scaly leg mites?? How would they get them?? Thanks so much!

Either something is irritating his feet, or his hatchmates are doing that to him. What are you using for bedding in your brooder?

All I can see are black dots. I would recommend Blu-kote. It's an anti-bacterial, anti-fungal topical dressing that also camouflages the wounds so others don't peck at them.

We are using pine wood flake shavings....so not mites?

What was wrong with his feet the first time and what treatment did you use ?

The same thing, but also the bottom of his foot has a part of his skin lifted- at that time we had 1/2 x 1/2 inch hardware cloth around the outside and thought maybe that wasn’t helping, so that’s not on there- the one most effected is the smallest and I am just unsure what’s going on- I am with them a lot, by not always and I don’t usually see anyone pick on him-

Is there anywhere in your brooder he might be getting his toes stuck in? Like between walls and floor ? Under the door maybe ?

Look carfully at that middle toe. Might just be my eyes but I am seeing a very fine fishing line string looking wrapped around the toe where it changes color. Anyone ??
