Please help me! Need an answer ASAP! Chick hatched before lockdown! Humidity low and turner still in

It should be fine. They start pooping around the 3rd day in the incubator at least for me
And it's ok if it poops in the incubator before others have hatched? I would think the bacteria would be a problem. Also doesn't that make for difficult cleaning for the incubator?
When you said it should be fine, did you mean it would be fine until Monday morning?

Yes Monday should be fine but u can take it out whenever before that as long as others aren't pipping.

If u have to do it really quik and make sure humidity is good
If I leave that chick until Monday morning do you think everything will be ok unattended over the weekend? The rest are on lockdown now. Principal took out turner and added water for lockdown humidity. With the water in, it is at 65%. My incubator is not very good at holding steady humidity. Should I have the principal go in either tomorrow or Sunday to add more water if necessary? Or should we just not open the incubator either way?
This chick hatched when humidity was at 28%, so I'm not sure if it's better to leave the incubator closed or if it's better to try to keep it above 65%

If they are pipping don't open it

Ok. Maybe I can have her go in Sunday morning just to check the humidity. Then if none are pipping and it is dropping lower, I can have her add more water. The actual lockdown day was supposed to be Sunday, so hopefully that early chick is just an anomaly. The hens we got the eggs from tend to be broody, so maybe it had already been sat on for a few days.

Dont panic! I completely dry hatch. No water added at all. The chicks hatching raises the humidity just fine on its own. I also take chicks out as soon as they dry. The more you fiddle with the humidity etc the harder you make it.

I wouldnt be happy leaving a chick in there for 3 days though. Mine are out once dry and up and eating/drinking pretty quick. Mine are all bantams though so I maybe wouldnt worry with larger chicks
