seriously... do you think he looks like a turkey??? Does he look like a chick at all??? OMG... I really have NO clue! He is supposed to be a chicken of some sort!

Turkeys have teardrop shaped shells, very pointy at the small end. Most often they are speckled as well. I'm so curious to hear what you've got there. It you only have one, try to get another to keep it company or at least a stuffed animal, the poor thing!

I had to give one of my new chicks a bath also, the membrane was all stuck to it after it hatched and dried. i just used warm water to wipe him down and them put him back in the incubator for a bit, them the brooder. he was still very new though.

Oh how weird looking. It almost appears as if he already has wing feathers instead of fluff. I looked at the pic two times to confirm what I was seeing. But I am new to hatching, and have only hatched quail as of yet. Let us see a pic of him when it is all dry and walking.

I had that happen with my first hatch. I had the humidity too high.

Yeah I wish I could help but I have to say I have never seen a chick hatch out with wing feathers already happening. Poor little guy I hope he makes it.

HEY hoof AND hen take a look at our hous old chick roo chick,,,, now slim is ?32 weeks ??

3 day old slim & shady... slim is smaller

slim is sittin,, 4 to 6 weeks

i dont have a pic of him at curent age. now hes bigger than shady.

i did have to give slim a couple 3 bath's ,, i used luke warm water & soft toof brush to make him fluff.

ITs possble that low humidity would make him sticky and kill the one that wasnt hatched , he is probly just a normal chick but looks funny because he isnt fluffy, the fat abdomen dosnt stick out as bad covered with fluff you know ,
I woudnt pull that stuff off unless it comes off very easly it could hurt him , ether leave it or use a damp tissues and dab at it maybe
