Please help my BCMarans MiMi!

im almost certain you can put aloe on your hen ,though id look into it a bit more maybe ask your vet if it could help
My vet would most likely not recommend anything unless she saw the lump. I will try to treat it for a couple days before I bring her in for an appointment. Thank you for your suggestion, I will try the aloe tomorrow, I grow a lot of it in my backyard.

You mention that she is blind in one eye and her other eye looks odd and she is underweight. All these things could be due to Marek's disease. Was she vaccinated for it. Tumours are a symptom of Marek's too. I'm not saying this is a tumour because the photos are too blurry to see much and there is little you can do if it is Marek's. A photo of her good eye that looks odd might help. Marek's is caused by a virus and symptomatic birds are actively shedding the virus via dander dust, which is them inhaled by other hens to infect them, so you may want to consider taking precautions to reduce the risk of it spreading in case it is Marek's although the chances are your other birds have already been exposed.

If you could get some clearer photos of the problem, more people might be able to help.

Thank you for your reply. She was vaccinated for Mareks, but I guess that is not 100 percent preventative according to what I have read. I received her as a day old chick and when I took her out of the box she bobbed her head in a really odd way for the first day and the other chicks picked her eye and blinded her on one side. She just has had problem after problem since day one, so she is underweight and is the lowest in the flock. I don't think it is Mareks, but maybe a cluster of ingrown feather shafts. She has all these feather shafts not coming off her feathers and I picked most of them off when I gave her a bath yesterday. I will try to post better pictures later when I clean the spot later today.
